What is Luvox?

Luvox is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. The active ingredient in Luvox is fluvoxamine which is dispensed as oral tablets (25mg, 50mg and 100mg), as well as extended-release tablets (100mg and 150mg).

Drug Uses

Luvox is prescribed to treat depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety. The active ingredient in Luvox maintains the correct amount of the chemical, serotonin, in the brain.

Dose

Luvox must always be used as directed. Do not make adjustments to the dose before speaking to a doctor. Luvox is usually taken at night, unless otherwise directed by a doctor.
